I was contacted by the pastor and asked to create a logo with a "nautical" theme. The church is located in a well know tourism town on the shore of Lake Michigan, and the location is a vital part of their identity. This part of their heritage, the location, caused us to settle on a logo icon that incorporates their part of Michigan's shoreline with a nautical theme overlay.
